Functional Cupping

Functional cupping employs the use of western myofascial cupping therapy with the addition of natural movement to achieve greater results in terms of muscular and fascial release throughout the body.

Cupping creates a stretch to the skin, superficial fascia, muscle and deep fascia. Perfect for muscular related pain and tension in the body!

Functional cupping classes at Nest are treatment sessions, but 4 participants are treated at once. Tess takes the group through a planned class of cupping and movement. Participants are required to place cups on their own body and then perform movements as instructed by Tess, for example: cat/cow stretches, hamstring stretches, simply walking and more.

Participants need to be suitable for cupping therapy and preferably have experienced some form of cupping therapy before. They also need to feel comfortable having such therapy in a small group environment.

Functional cupping classes are only taken by trained professionals.
